“The Kingdom Life” originated from several sermons preached at SonRise Christian Church in Summerville, SC by pastor William Jacobs. After finishing the 23 messages from Matthew 5-7 it became apparent that these messages should be written down and preserved for others to benefit and grow. “The Kingdom Life” is the result of that endeavor. The Sermon on the Mount carries timeless principles that will forever impact the Christian life. The aim in this book is to seek to help people understand the truths within the sermon and help apply it to the lives of those who read it.

In “Pursuing Maturity by Making Disciples” William outlines the ministry philosophy that drives Sonrise Christian Church, where he serves as Teaching Pastor. According to the Apostle Paul the goal of the local church is to “present everyone mature in Christ (Col. 1:28).” According to Jesus the mission of the church is to “make disciples (Matthew 28:19).” William outlines in the book how these two texts illustrate what the church is to be about (pursuing Maturity) and how the church is to go about it accomplishing it (making disciples). If the local church desires to grow spiritually then these two aspects must be implemented in the life of the community.
